- You are absolutely correct, my friend. The facility was there but some films were made in B & W mainly due to financial reasons, I believe.
Also some films were made in B & W purposely, to achieve "a classic look", I believe.

off-beat classic. It was a total deviation from Nassir Hussain's
entertainment routine. Another off-beat made in B&W was Aakhri Khat by
Chetan Anand also released during that time. Both movies starred Rajesh
Khanna who cost very little at that time for the 16 banners under the
United Producers Guild.
