Manoranjan from 1974 was a fun remake of the Hollywood 1963 movie IRMA LA DOUCE starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine. This song was a remake of the Theme from Irma La Douce.

Asha Bhonsle has complained that the best songs RDB gave to Lata, and the
left over was given to her. And after hearing this song I feel there is
some justification in her complaint. Many of RDB-Gulzar songs were sung by
Lata except for Ijazat. Remember RDB's debut song 'Ghar Aaja ghir
aaye'.. which sums up my analysis. Atul

although i had not seen this movie in those days but this song had made
great impact on me. the music composition and asha's voice in this song
