V.C. Mago ji today only i am asked to sing any bhajan of this film. I will
try to sing. As a child when i used to go to Marindrive in B'bay with
family Chan U. ji used to come there in her black car. I still remember the
Nono. of car. and we all kids used to chat with Her. She must be in her
early 20 and was very beautiful. Mala ji i met a lot as her daughter and my
son were in same school. THanks for sharing this gem With regards and
respect. Sarla.

I believe Chand Usmani is a sister of Meena Kumari.
jasbongy on September 16, 2009
No, Derubala ji, Chand is not Meena ji's sister. I have read Meena
ji'sautibiography by Ashok Mehta and i know that she had sister who was
married to Actor Mehmood.and sometime used to act .Nanda,Idrani
Mukarji,Mausami Chataraji, and actress of Ashok kumar film''Ashiwad'' all
had Meena look.I met Meena when i was 10 years old and had geart time
talking to Her husbandbut she was very quiet taking through her very sad
eyes on her very beautiful face.Sarla.

Thanks..I haven't read much on Chand Usmani. I knew Mehmood being b-i-l of
Meena Kumair. My oldest sis was a found of Chand U. & Mala Sinha. Oh,
Nanda, Idrani Mukarji has Meena's face but not sure about Masusami... on
other hand, vyjantimala, Padmini, B. saroja...all look a like. Thank you
again...

Two great voices offer a bhajan conveying both devotion and tender
complaints and pleas to Lord Krishna as if he has strayed from the
reciprocity expected of him in a gratifying relationship . This is the real
beauty of such bhajans: The Lord is not a remote abstraction but a close
friend who can even be sweetly chided and set straight. Fabulous Roshan
composition again. Thanks for posting it at my request, Ajay.
Bharat Gul on October 07, 2011
@BharatGul And the line that Lord Krishna despite his haughtiness should in
a way eat his heart out because the two worshipers are fair and he is dark
in complexion is charming in its childlike teasing.

Rare and beautiful song - needs preserving as being rendered by Lata ji and
Geeta ji. Thanks for making it available. [Lyrics by Kedar Sharma]
