the most enchanting music composed by Naushad, most beautiful lyrics written by Shkeel Badyuni and most wonderfully sung by Md. Rafi.

and are tyey bharatbhushan and meenakumari?
alokshishir on September 25, 2008
yup they are Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari. The movie name is Baiju
Bawra. a must watch movie. the performances are doubtless good. I liked
Bharat Bhushan's acting too. I have seen a lot of ppl discarding him as a
B-grade actor (in some comments) but it doesn't look like that to me from
this movie. It may just be my inexperience as I haven't seen any other
movie starring him. Meena Kumari is great as usual.

URDU is a mixture of Hindi,Arabic,Persian,Telugu,Marathi and little bit
Kannada.Urdu language does not have any classical music krithis, bits and
strings, the only advantage is easily mouldable thatsall. The greatest and
sweetest language of all is Sanskrit which is godly language and mother of
all dialects and languages in the world, other than that
Telugu,Roman,Bengali(slightly) and Kannada are sweetest languages which is
adjudjed by UNO.
tailgate2008 on February 18, 2009
Boss, Why are you using foul language? It shows from which country you hail
and what your land contributes to the world. Please donot degrade yourself.
bzulqarni on March 07, 2009
Guys please enjoy this and other Hindi/Urdu songs and music. Avoid the
useless debate of whether it is pure Hindi or Urdu. Both languages are
sweet on their own.

Thanks for being the voice of reason.

Mohammad Rafi the greatest singer in the world ever. what a voice what control, what skill, what range, inimitable even today. Underrated by indian film industry who only awarded him a handful of awards and none posthumously. Just look at the shear number of difficult songs he sang. A pillar of the industry. They should mourn the loss of such talant every night and every day

awards do not justify Rafi's class.

The very fact that songs like these are immortal means that he is immortal, I personally thnk that the greatest award any artiste can get is the award of not being forgotten even after one's death.

Rafi won that award hand's down.

I cried for the memories it brought back! There is nothing like this in

What a beautiful song.
Bajaury on July 09, 2009
In my book this song was the magnum opus of Rafi. He sang other innumerable
songs but this one tops. His voice pleased millions on the Indian
sub-continent. The great award was his universal recognition by all his
fans the world over.
Sholay48 on July 13, 2009
I fully agree. Rafi's career was built and extended on songs sang at that
time, this one in particular. Very solid foundation.

beatifull song
imranwzd on July 19, 2009
Many critics opine that the songs of this feature film springboard Mohd Rafi from an ordinary singer to the legendary status as a playback singer of Indian commercial cinema. The perfect range, synchronisation, consonance of voice with the classic melodies and reverberations which the late Mohd Rafi Sahab displayed by rendering his immortal voice for the songs of this movie is unparalleled and such heights have never ever been touched by any Indian playback singer ever since in their career.

The supreme almighty created and everything and also a creature we call human. This creature created most evil weapon called RELIGION for it's existence while other living things like snakes evolved to develop venom.

Hey buddy, u r also 2711naheed, aren't u? You are going around saying the
same thing in every one of ur comments. Listen, there is no doubt about
Shri Mhd. Rafi's greatness. He was & still is very highly respected as a
musical legend. But don't make a god out of him, will u? And in any case, u
aren't Indian, so u don't need to bother that much about how we treat him.
