Jake Law on December 23, 2012 I can't help but laugh. No disrespect intended.
Fersomling on December 23, 2012 I know, it sounds too good to be true, but you are judging as a man.
Let go and believe!
And laughter is good medicine, as long as it's real, and not just forced, sardonic laughter.
Maria Callous on December 23, 2012 be clean for a moment. You don't know...

J Pereira on December 24, 2012 Um Feliz Natal!!! Merry x-mas for all!!!!
sarcas bass on December 24, 2012 I don't it was sarcasm. But that's exactly what that atheist believes and doesn't realize it. The he comes along and brags about how brave and fearless he is to be a atheist naturalist yet he doesn't realize that he is just a useless bag of interacting mater if his statement is true.
Madre Mia on December 24, 2012 Have your ever thought of confessing your sins online? Watch ¡Madre MÃa! a new comedic web series!
dora paige on December 24, 2012 beautiful to me always, watch 9 year old Mia Diaz dance to this version on youtube with great passion.
bscottfab on December 24, 2012 While I personally prefer less vibrato this is truly a beautiful rendition.
bryncomeaux on December 24, 2012 quantum physics is proving that matter/ energy/ space / time/ soul and consciousness are all versions of each other each one birthing the next, so y'all can stuff your irrational spiritually and also your faithless materialism with all its arrogance back between the dusty pages it grew out of. Go out and cast yourself upon the great ocean of the universe.
When you see the sparrow fall yourself. then you will finds the God that sees it to. until then all you'll see is a dead bird.
sarcas bass on December 25, 2012 No it does not. Science only explains how the physical world works and not the immaterial world. The immaterial world being the one with emotion, Minds/souls numbers and metaphysical laws. Often times people put so much faith in the scientific method because they see how much material good it has done humanity, and so they believe science is the only bearer of knowledge. This is mistaken science requires a metaphysical thing, a mind for it to be made and interpreted.
Timothy Clark on December 25, 2012 Is this the same science that said the world was flat, earth was the center of the universe and that bleeding you curded illnesses? This is the bearer of knowledge? Truth is its plaything, useful to it only insofar as it allows opportunity for distortion, misinterpretation and exaggeration.
Lori Tapp on December 25, 2012 I think that you did a wonderful job please never stop with your talent God is not at fault for ignorant people they have just chosen to be that way.
gcskee on December 25, 2012 Ave Maria, Mater Salvatoris!
John Burket on December 25, 2012 The artist we're listening to is Barbara Bonney.
franknight on December 26, 2012 Jesus Christ, Savior of Mankind, is coming back for the second time. Soon the antichrist and the false prophet will rise and deceive many. It's time to prepare oneself and welcome Jesus in one's life. You have been warned. Here is a website with all the information regarding this. Go to thewarningsecondcoming(dot)com
jewelmarkess on December 26, 2012 The German words came from a poem in English translated into German: "Lady of the Lake" by great Scottish novelist/poet Sir Walter Scott. Schubert wrote 7 songs to the words of this poem, this one is Ellens dritter Gesang (Ellen's third song) and if you google for it, you'll find words in English. Or you could search "Walter Scott Lady of the Lake Hymn to the Virgin". "Ave Maria, Maiden mild, listen to a maiden's prayer, thou not hear through the wild, ."
jewelmarkess on December 26, 2012 Barbara Bonney is a lyric soprano not a mezzo soprano. But yes, she sings it beautifully, one of my favorite (if not the favorite) interpretation.
jewelmarkess on December 26, 2012 Of course, this is how Schubert intended it to be sung.
Dave Dee on December 26, 2012 I've only ever heard it sung like this once before, when we had the female Director of Music from the Ripon Cathedral Choir School who is suprano sing this in at my mothers funeral , now after a long search I've come across the perfect rendition . Thankyou
Meghan Brown on December 26, 2012 Ave Maria is simply the Hail Mary in Latin. This is beautiful, but it is not that.
Mark Corbeil on December 27, 2012 can't sleep? listen a few times, soothing to mind and soul
Elsa Nikolla on December 27, 2012 the best music ever.Nowdays you never hear one like that
Piratewaffle43 on December 27, 2012 This is not even a time at all, at least not a set time. Theoretically, this is a location. This cannot be said solidly, for it holds no volume in any specific physical place. Either way, arrogance is not favored by moi, so I have to agree with half your statement.
Mary Cleveland on December 27, 2012 I respect your interpretation of this as everyone is entitled to their opinion. Listen to this for it's shear beauty and maybe you will get a different perspective. This is a hymn to the Virgin Mary. It really is beautiful. me
Chrissy Margo on December 27, 2012 this is too good to be true. what a velvety smooth flowing vocal.
none of our stars today possess anything close to this.
i do love linda ronstadt however ;)
adrielleabelle on December 27, 2012 please check out my short cover of this song! Give a thumbs up if you approve :) it would mean so much and take only a few seconds...lol thank you!!
iAdaptation on December 28, 2012 The times in which I have heard this song has been in moments of death and sadness. I don't associate it with happiness or any positive emotions, maybe I am Satan.
Mary Cleveland on December 29, 2012 Yes, this hymn has been sung at most of the funerals in our family, but this gave us hope not despair. It has also been sung at the most gorgeous weddings in our family. This hymn is a blessing, not a death knoll. No, I do not think you are satan.
jewelmarkess on December 30, 2012 What is sung at the funerals and wedding is this song with Latin words of Hail Mary prayer. But the words here are different. These are original German words of the song known as Ellens dritter Gesang (Ellen's third song) from a cycle of songs Schubert wrote to poem by Scottish poet Walter Scott "Lady of the Lake" translated into German. The words are (in English) "Ave Maria, Maiden mild, listen to a maiden's prayer" and aren't very appropriate for either weddings or funerals.
jewelmarkess on December 30, 2012 I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Barbara Bonney is a classica/opera singer (she teaches now, but occasionally still gives recitals). You are comparing her to today's pop singers. This isn't a pop song, and it should be sung by classical singers. There are classical/opera singers today too, they would be much better comparison. E.g. Renee Fleming. I prefer this interpretation, but this would be a better comparison than to pop stars.
jewelmarkess on December 30, 2012 You can if you go to a classical music recital. But yes, as far as composers go I'd agree. But you can still classical music live.
delavega carlotta on December 30, 2012 c'est trop beau!! ça m'apaise merci pour cette beaute
wastedlittleDJ117 on January 06, 2013 You're not casting atheism in such a particularly splendid light, I hope
you are never given a larger podium to speak from aside from such small
things as a youtube account. Seriously arrogant people like you are exactly
why atheists were persecuted so widely and harshly for so long, whether
religious or not, arrogance is still arrogance, and you sir, seem arrogant.
wastedlittleDJ117 on January 06, 2013 Your first statement about my long winded 'I don't like you' is
unreasonable. Because the first half of my comment, the part I really care
about, is how you are presenting atheists. It's unreasonable to make cruel
jibes at theists if your intention is to free them from their supposed
ignorance. This will not work. In fact, you will probably have compounded
their belief, for they will naturally be put on the defense, and it's not a
reasonable goal for an atheist to further the cause of religion.
wastedlittleDJ117 on January 08, 2013 I don't doubt that you're correct. However, I was more concerned with how
you're telling people they're wrong as opposed to why or with what
information.
urmintrude on January 14, 2013 Hitman Blood money. An extremely violent video game brought be here. Who
says they have a negative effect?
urmintrude on January 15, 2013 if you say so
carol bonnie on January 15, 2013 The first time I heard this song it gave me goosebumps. The song forced me
to think of heaven, and the angels thereof, and looking forward to my own
death. All fear vanishes. I think of Jesus in a deeper way and I fall in
love with Him all over again.
carol bonnie on January 23, 2013 Yes, it is. The most beautiful.
John Wagner on February 01, 2013 Dear Karm: When Jason said "tribute", please notice that he used capital
letters for "Our Lady". This is simply a mark of respect for Mary as the
Mother of Jesus. The words "Ave Maria" are Latin for "Hail Mary". The words
are simply a prayer to Mary used by Catholic, Russian and Greek Orthodox,
Anglican and some other Protestant religions as well. It is NOT a prayer of
worship as only God is worthy of worship according to their theologies.
John Wagner on February 01, 2013 Dear Jason: It was my lot to watch my cousin Margaret die in 2004 after a 9
year bout with terminal cancer. You have my deepest sympathies.
John Wagner on February 01, 2013 Dear 0Cotton: Just copy and paste the URL for JoJo's posting to the
