Comments on song "Awakening (Mai Sutti Rahiya)"
V. Siddhartha on October 23, 2009 Di, your creative angles are always fresh, each presentation opening new
vistas for the viewers to enjoy and reflect upon. This Sufi poem in Punjabi
should also find an echo in the Zen concept of "satori," meaning a sudden
awakening into enlightenment for the truly prepared mind. After a rich
succession of sensual imagery, your finale of a a young woman standing and
gazing heavenward in intense concentration embodies that awakening in a
form that is both exquisite and unforgettable. Bravo!

dreams and high goals ,the sleeping woman needs to get in touch with that
divine inner child!!

into a higher world of spiritual or mystical realm. One can meditate for
hours by listening to its audio and focusing on its images. Diwanee

ursaheli on October 27, 2009 My dear Di, this is beautiful ♥♥ Awakening a compilation based on Sufi
poetry. Shubha Mudgal has attempted to "awaken the sleeping souls" Haunting
musical arrangements mark the song's beginning, giving you that feeling
like you're out in the wilderness. The beats that accompany Shubha Mudgal's
voice are in of true blue fusion fashion, while Gaurav Issar's lyrics are
typically "punjabi-sufi." Awesome loved it, thanks for posting:)

ursaheli on November 28, 2010 @CargoTradeShow Awakening sleeping souls...just explaining value of morning
time, because it's time to recite the verses of God and... also not only
physical but souls awakening too. Here' the english translation:- I stayed
sleeping, Why did I stay sleeping, I'm forgetful, I forgot, I stayed
sleeping. Why did I stayed sleeping at the time of baptism. I stayed
sleeping. In the cool morning air the devotees pass reciting the
Lords name as they pass. Why did I stayed sleeping...
ursaheli on November 28, 2010 @ursaheli Lord Oh! Lord why did I forget? Why did I forget? The time of
baptism I statyed sleeping. Listen to me my Lord I've now awakened, take
me by my finger I'm ready to go, why did I stayed sleeping Lord, I'm
forgetful I forgot Lord. I'm broken why did I forgot. Why did I stay
sleeping at the time of baptism I stayed sleeping..
