Why did they remove this outstanding song from the movie? The decision
makers must have been in a state of drug-induced stupor. The song has the
trademark beautiful rhythm and sweetness that OPN and Asha so often jointly

the song was sung beautifully by madhu kaka at a programme at Dinanath to
play a glowing tribute to O.P Nayyar. Sriram subramanium is great organizer.

some people are destined not to get what they really deserve. same with
o.p.nayyar. most of the films he got were B grade and C grade directors and
choreografers. above all most of his wonderful compositions chopped off in
the movies. 'hotonpe haseen ankhome nasha' in sawan ki ghata ; balmaa khuli
hawa' of kashmir ki kali ; roka kahi baar' of mere sanam; tumhari ye
nakhre---of kahin din kahin raat etc

@jbrswamy1 Hey, one mistake - "Roka kai bar" was very much there in Mere
Sanam I saw the movie at least 20 times over 20 years for its songs! It was
"Humne toh dil ko aap ke kadmon mein rakh diya" the other beautiful duet
which was missing from Mere Sanam. OP Nayyar was one of a few top music
directors!
