Bharat Gul on March 12, 2011 The yin complement to Hemant Kumar's yang. Glad to have found this Lata
song here. Sounds even sweeter than the HK version. But then, for Lata
devotees like me it always turns out like this ,doesn't it? Thanks, ajayuv.

MrSilagi on December 11, 2011 Please help me, What dose it mean SI LAGI ?
Thank you for your answer !
thatpausedsilence on December 16, 2011 I have got a beautiful one...
no, not [a] gloomy or a sad one,
it's just [that] one closed-lips sort of quietness has set in.
the fresh early morning [breeze], too, [and] this [or the] night, too,
the afternoon, too, [I] have got, but...
the fresh early morning [breeze], too, [and] this [or the] night, too,
the afternoon, too, [I] have got, but...
I myself...
have chosen the evening...
no, not [a] gloomy [or a sad one],
[it's] just [that] one [closed-lips] sort of quietness has set in.
MrSilagi on December 17, 2011 Thank you for your kindness for translating the text !

Shruti Shankar Srivastava on November 27, 2014 bas ek chup si lagi hai, nahin udaas nahin
kahin pe saans ruki hai, nahin udaas nahin
it is Just the silence
That the mind favours
For now
No, it is not sadness
it is Just a pause in breathing
No, it is not sadness, I assure
.koi anokhi nahin, aisi zindagi lekin khoob na ho
mili jo, khoob mili hai, nahin udaas nahin
This life (bestowed by the lord)
Well, it is not so strange(Is it?)
But pray-- it not be too much (to bear)
Ah but still, it seems
This life, is an excess
No, it is not sadness, I assure
sehar bhi ye raat bhi, dupehar bhi mili lekin
hamee ne sham chuni, nahin udaas nahin
I could have selected
The dawn, the night
Or even the high noon of midday
Yet i myself picked /chose the dusk
No, it is not sadness, I assure
wo daastaan jo, hum ne kahi bhi, hum ne likhi
aaj wo khud se suni hai, nahin udaas nahin
Ah, that tale
That overbearing tale of life
That was once narrated by me
I had written it, myself
But today
I am hearing it, once again
\ myself
No, it is not sadness, I assure
Surely, it is not sadness, I assure

in both the voices.
