I have been listening to this ghazal since 18 year and yet dont get bored.

Absolutely love this ghazal. I remember papa use to listen to this when I
was growing up. I would sneakily go in the living room when he was at
work(mind you we had record players at that time) and would constantly
listen to this. Ahhh, the awesome childhood memories are so priceless.

It means palyground . Bazeecha = Playground Atfaal = Kid so
Bazeecha-e-atfaal means kid's playground

Have grown up with Urdu poetry in the family. Ghalib being a great
favourite of all of us, his Ghazals rendered by Saigal, Rafi, Talat, Begum
Akhtar, Habib Wali Mahammad and ,later, Jagjit Singh, are a part of my
being.

The moment Ghalib said this ghazal is the most important point in shaping
the meaning and parameters if this piece of poetry . It was the time
when his high class poetry was totally disregarded by maestros of poetry
working for the kind at that point in time (Zauq to be specific)
