Excellently composed by Naushad and rendered by Mukesh and Shamshad Begum. 1948 was also the year when Mukesh introduced Lata to Naushad. Lata's first song(duet) for Naushad was for film Chandni Raat "Chhorey ki zaat badi bewafa" with G.M. Durrani.

This song is totally stunning. No one can ever beat Naushad Ali and no one
can ever beat singers like, Mukeah, Shamshad Begum and of course Mohammed
Rafi. They were unique in their singing that is why we still remember them
and cannot ever forget them because there is no replacement of these
singers.
