You must be joking Mr gengarjetty no one will say Rafi is unversatile, Rafi is one of the greatest singer we have no one can dispute that, but when coming to deep voice Kishore is the best. Then there are personal choices. In hindi songs I like Kishore the most then Rafi, In south I like Yesudas the most then SPB. They are all great singers in their own way and style...

nt feel kishore competent enough to sing ...every singer today
accepts that rafi is the best. No doubt kishore had several hits but rafi
sang most difficult songs of his time.Kishore himself admitted that rafi
was unique and cant be matched with anyone.

I dont know why rafi fans have to say that rafi was best and kishore fans say the same about kishore.. why cant you people accept they were both unique and unmatched by anyone and just enjoy their music ??? rafi and kishore respected each other were great friends.. never heard kishore say rafi cant be matched and or rafi say kishore cannot be matched

I think Kishore sometimes sold himself short when they were about to do the song . Meray dil mein aaj kiya hai tu kahay .. Kishore told the musicians that he cannot sing this song and he would rather Rafi sing this song. but either the muscians or the producers insisted that kishore should sing this song .The rest is history . that song is considered one of the best songs of Kishore.

Udit? yes Udit has the quality and is better than sonu. His smiling style of singing reminds you of Rafi. But after Rafi it was Anwar who somehow did not get due recognition. Listen "Teri aankhon ki chahat me" from file Janata Hawaldar and you will see how close he was to Rafi. None of todays singers could possibly sing the way Anwar sang that song.
