hmm it was not Surdas who wrote this... the lyricist is Gopal Singh Nepali.. it seems the composer als filed a case against the makers of Slum Dog..

although, Surdas had composed a similar song in the same context..
which is "Akhiyan Hari Darshan Ki Pyaasi".
