Film Saqi is copy of Hollywood film A thousand and one night which is based
on Aladin story with a slight difference from original Arabian Night story.
Subsequently another film Alif Laila was also produced on the same story.
All songs of the film penned by Rajinder Krishna and composed by C.
Ramchandra became popular . Madhubala as heroine and Cuckoo as item girl
were on peak of popularity during that period. Film directed by H S Rawil

I am so glad you posted this video. I had the audio version but I wished to
have the video. I like another song by Lata in Teerandaz: ye haseen sham
gerdish mey jaam etc. So far I have not seen the video on Utube. If you
have it It will be wonderful to see that video. Thanks for posting this one.

Interesting opening lines...dil pehla, piyar doosra, teesri jawaani -three closely intertwined factors! From another angle the sequence could well be seen in reverse - Jawani, pyar and finally dil; pressures of jawani, triggerd by circulating hormones, create ideas of romance, leaving the consequences for the heart to deal with... haha.

this is one of my faverote song of pernath ji movie beside badal and
abe-e-hatat saqi was one of prem nath ji best movie brotherinlaw of raj
kapoor ji premnath and his sister krishna kapoor ji(wife of raj kapoor ji)
both were born in dabghar bazar peshawar city prem nath ji house was so big
that after partition it is govt girls high school by the name of madras-ul-
banath prem nath ji was famous by the name of prem nak(becasuse of his nose
that was symble of deep love of peshawari to prem ji

Sir, i know that this song is from MM video release :) But i am talking
about my copy of Saqi which i have in T-Series's DVD which doesn't have
this song in it along with another Shamshad Begum solo called ''Raat Suhani
Machale Jawani''. I would like to order a copy of Saqi if the Shamshad
Begum's missing song is in it :) Will see, thanks for your kind info on it..
