Yeah, I agree..when I was watching this I thought the same thing...only
didn't understand why a successful south actor would go along with
this...Anyways, the only reason I even got through the movie was because
the whole time I kept thinking 'man that guy is hot!'...so if nothing else
it made Tamilians (sorry if incorrect) very appealing to those of us not
exposed to south Indian cinema. :)

I think, when Bollywood ridicules the south, its a sarcastic way of saying
"We're actually not so loud & tacky like the Tamil industry, but we know
how to have a laugh at it". And the irony is that several of the bollywood

India, and seem to have subscribed to the "if you can't beat em join em"
philosophy as a means of survival. I agree the N word concept also applies,
but in this case, the blacks are South Indians in particular, not Indians
in general. Ergo, WE can call ourselves Madrasi, North Indians can't and,
