One of Naushad's best films and all songs were based on classicalragas and
what a melodious voice of Lata, she was also at her bast. Listen dhoka na
kh..ana and mai hoon ji pyarki pehli nish.ani, oh superb. This song had
a flow. We do not know when it starts and when it ends.

Naushad was decidedly one of the greatest composers India has produced.
This tune is based on a folk wedding song my sisters used to sing in my

I saw this song picturised in the 1970 Mani Kaul's famous movie "Uski
Roti". At that time I did't know to which movie it belong to or who the
composer was. But it has a stamp of Naushad Sahib's class. Uran Khatola was
also produced by Naushad Sahib, it was a horrible movie which Naushad Sahib
admitted, but it's music was great and so became successful. Hats off to
the great composer.
