Comments on song "Har Kisee Ko Naheen Milata"
wizman009 on February 13, 2010 sge4647, I think Shridevi can act and act very well. Did you watch movies like Nigahen, Chaalbaaz, and Judaai, no name a few?
And she wasn't terrible at all I think. I really wonder about the 'jhatkas' you mentioned. Regarding the 'funny noises' you mentioend, then it was the demand of her character in a few movies. For example, in Chaalbaaaz, her character was demading a 'happy-go-lucky' girl so she acted upon that.
I liked Priyanka in Fashion a lot by the way.
wizman009 on February 13, 2010 I don't think that Shridevi or even Jaya took the Indian Cinema to dark ages. Simply as I can't imagine the 80s without them. They were happy even with weak scripts, as a renowned script writer said. Your opinion is valuable even we don't necessarily agree with it :)
wizman009 on February 13, 2010 I won't compare. But if you look at Sridevi's dances, you will notice that
her dance is *naturally* an extension to her character in the movie. You would see the innocent Anju dancing in tears for years of sufferance, you would see a snake woman challenging her enemy, a Gypsy lady , a girl caring for her injured fiance, to name a few dances. These all dances are so related to her character in the movie. She's still acting even in those dances. That's what I call an actress.
wizman009 on February 13, 2010 Anyways, I see where you come from. But for Shridevi, Meenakshi, and even Jaya, these three didn't need big banners and multi-starred movies to show their talent.
And we value your opinion too though. And yes, Zeenat had good personality and acted well in quite few roles.
sge4647 on February 13, 2010 Big banners and multistarrers of the eighties changed indian cinema and the
actresses were just for glamour.Sridevi and jayapradha arrived with a bang
and tookover from all the others. And then thay started acting in very
melodramatic films with mostly jitendra. These films were copies of south
indian films.Every actress in india seems to have a sell by date unlike in
the west mature actresses still get meaty roles to showcase their talent. If
sridevi was around now,i would have a different opinion
wizman009 on February 14, 2010 @sge4647
You are welcome and thanks for the nice reply .
If you love the Nagina dance, then you'd just like the Nigahen song ' Kisi Dhoond Ta hai O' Pagal Saphere'. It's a magic mantra itself.
It's understood,as you said, that mid 80s had less-than-perfect production and many remakes of southern movies were made. But still Sridevi, Meenakshi and I think Jaya Prada show their talent regardless of that.
wizman009 on February 14, 2010 @sge4647
True, Zeenat was,as her name states, a born star ,and , regardless of her own 'modernism' ideas , I think she could act too ( SS' Sundaram,Insaaf Ka Tarazu ) and pulled in the public into the theater on her name.
Sridevi ,with her sheet talent ,brought back the respect to actresses status in late 80s onwards and became the lead of her movies, that people were asking 'Is Sridevi a hero?'
You can watch Chaalbaaz, Lamhe, and Laadla to name a few. She immortalized those characters!:)
sge4647 on February 15, 2010 There was a complete craze for zeenat for a while. Also im sure for
sridevi.Today every actress wants to be the new zeenat aman.sridevi remains
highly respected and dignified.I will watch the movies you recommend and i
hope i alter my opinion.Sridev remains highly respected just as zeenat is
finally getting the recognition she deserves. Two different spectrums .i
will check out the movies you suggest and drop u a line.mny thanks for your
suggestions..
UsherRed on February 15, 2010 sge4647, you claim that Sridevi "fell into a comfort zone"? With all due respect, that's the single, most erroneous remark I have ever encountered spoken with respect to an artist of her caliber who has always been hailed as THE most versatile artist of Indian cinema. She did everything BUT fall for the "comforting" trap, which is why she's being acknowledged so vocally 'til date. No actress, past or present, has had the courage enough to partake in some of the roles that she has had.
wizman009 on February 15, 2010 @sge4647
You are welcome. But I think Sridevi and Meenakshi didn't "fell into a comfort zone film trap". It's just there wasn't much good script writing in their era. Their theme therefore was more "local", though they had quite a few modernization as well ( see Meenakshi in Shahensha). But yes it was Zeenat who introduced that concept and she was good at that :P.
And yes, actresses now want to be either a Zeenat or a Sridevi.
wizman009 on February 15, 2010 @sge4647
Sridevi changed the concept of Indian Heroine after Mid 80s, and she didn't need to "drop a pallu" for that.
She emerged as the actress who well experimented with her roles and showed different shades of her talent. I think if someone is talented, then they can add to the industry as well.
I think Sridevi's movies are still iconic even today, because she simply did them in a high quality and dedication, because she depended on her sheer talent rather than song and dances.
wizman009 on February 15, 2010 @sge4647
Zeenat had this charisma around her and 'oomp'. People liked her for that beauty and charisma ( regardless of the "modernization" she introduced) and she in return selected her roles and presented the best she could. That was Zeenat. Watch that interview and how she was so adorable.
achetan4z on February 23, 2010 love this song.. wooooooooooooooo love u
songspraise on February 24, 2010 ohhhhhhh i love this movie had all my favourites in it feroz k, dimple ,anil k .thanks 4sharaing
shosad100 on February 27, 2010 Feroz khan told once "Sridevi was very late choise for this moive and she had give only few days of her callsheet ". he payed a big salary for her very short role. he anted her to a full time heroin of his any movie but it was not hapend.also he told his all time best south indain actress as Hema, rekha and Sridevi.
teenbauwa on March 02, 2010 He wanted Sridevi in Dimple's role but Sri refused because of the bold
scenes.
saadbutt54321 on March 02, 2010 its realy a fantastic song , music is so classical
teenbauwa on March 04, 2010 I get it. I know not all movies of Sridevi are good but I think she did
justice to what was given to her. Javed Akhtar himself said that her decade
was the worst days of cinema and still she managed to hold her own and
surpassed. If you did not like her in Sadma, it is your opinion but to me
Sadma was one of her best performances.
teenbauwa on March 04, 2010 In 1983, there were 5 filmfare nominations, 4 with only Shabana Azmi and
the 5th one was Sridevi. Kamal said that in Sadma Sri was better. She is
playing an adult girl who regresses to childhood and she was perfect.
Anyway your comments are still honest. As you have watched her few movies,
I would suggest you Varumayin Niram Sivappu and 16 Vayanthinlae Tamil
movies available on Rajshri with subs.
samaratak on March 09, 2010 OOOOOOh this song is very great but makes me sad :(

samabra85 on April 06, 2010 halimali, i m totally agree with u.sri is much more talented actress than dancer and she is better dancer than any...any other actress, that we dont need to say, most of actor n actress and directors agreed that sri is the best...many of them even didn't mention any option.so..the best actress in bollywood,
Farrukh Iqbal Qureshi on April 07, 2010 Sridevi ki kia baat hai. one of her best performances
kwachuh01 on April 17, 2010 good u say it is ur opinion cos she has lots of awards to prove her talent as an actress instead if there is one actress u has not had a match up is sridevi only madhuri can boost to have come closer to her accomplishment and just so u know both sridevi and madhuri are far better dancers and actors than hema , hema was the super star and #1 of her time but she sure was not the #1 talent but sri and madhuri where #1 on all aspects .i love hema but she is never better in anything than sridevi
shabnam khan on April 19, 2010 dis song is soooooooooo true..everyone doesnt get true love in their

taru570 on April 23, 2010 this song brings back sweet old memories of the 80's when love was a

time of bollywood. i really miss that!!
saddy941 on May 10, 2010 sri devi the, sensuas, ,attractive eyes , good dancer and talented actress

Mohammed Akbar on May 20, 2010 I,like it very much
sge4647 on May 22, 2010 @samaybrahmin what about jaya pradha???i like meenaxi...the fact remains
they all came in different eras so cant really compare them.dancing to
what their scripts required..rekha was elegant in umrao and meena kumari
in pakeeza...no actress today can do idian dancing, and there seems to be
no need..We all see differently and we are loyal to our favourites for
whatever reason that may be.helen too was a good mover.
zaheerkhan on May 28, 2010 this is true love is life and love is gold.
Fahamida Sultana on May 30, 2010 Life is empty without love.
mnkhan2020 on June 01, 2010 @sge4647 totally disagreed. Sridevi is probably a better overall actress than Madhuri ever was in her whole career. Sridevi's performances in chandni, nagina, chalbaaz & particularly Sadmaa are stuff made of legends. Madhuri got more style, sridevi got more acting skills. People overall like madhuri more cuz of north indian stuff. Sri is originally a telugu actress & her hindi prononciation is not as stylish & cleaer as madhuris
mnkhan2020 on June 01, 2010 @halimali 100% agree. Chandni, Nagina, chalbaaz & especially national award winning Sadmaa, sridevi is mind blowing. Madhuri never reached this pinnicle ever in her career. Sri is not liked as much as madhuri cuz of telugu south indian hindi accent & stuff. Sri is a very good actress & overall slightly better than Madhuri IMO.
sge4647, I think Shridevi can act and act very well.
