This has been an outstanding song by Surendarji from Nagan. There is a great change in his songs sung in the early days of his career like Jagirdar, Village girl, Manmohan, Deccan queen, Mahageet etc. Music style was different then. The songs became more modern. But Surendraji sang with passion and with great Dard in his voice.This song is comparable to song Tera Jaha abbad hai .. from Elan. Thanks for uploading this song.

Movie was Gawaiya 1954 in which talat mahmood sang for surendra nath. Though song-Teri yaad ka deepak was also sung by surendra ji.

Great heart touching song by immortal singer Surendranathji. As stated the
lyrics are very simple followed by simple music and not a cacophony like
today.He had typical feel of pain in his voice which none had.
