I was told by an actor that some actors don't know what to do with their
hands while filming a song or a dialogue. It is possible that Rajindar
Kumar had the same problem ( though there are other songs where he is not
holding a stick or baton in his hands). To overcome such a complex and to
keep their hands occupied, perhaps the director thought of that he should
hold a baton in his hands but then why such a big and sturdy baton was
used. He should have been given a fine, slim cane instead. Only the
director or the actor would have given the explanation.
