@yasaryousafzai i think it refers to Dashrath from Ramayan. Ram's father.
he made a promise to his wife which later caused Ram to go on exile. I am
not sure but i think he is trying to say that he is willing to give her a
promise as significant as Dasrath's promise to Kaykayi if only she would
wake up again.
