She acted only in this movie. She fell in love and married a German crew
member in the Guru Dutt film unit and quit movies ! Johhny Walker starred
with Noor ( Shakila's sister ) in "Aar Paar' and married her right after
.She quit films too. Shakila, Minu Mumtaz, Mehmood's sister , Mumtaz, all

retiring soon, The other lovely song by her "Ai dilruba" -Lata- was from
"Rustom Sohrab" . I got confused t due to the two names ! I knew her only

What I find really alluring is the amazing lyrics & how well both have
performed. Vinita reminds me of yet another actress who someone called a
real 'Chulbul', "Shyama" & she is in another outstanding song "Dekho Woh
Chand Chupke Chupke Karta Hai Kya Ishare".For some odd reasons,Vinita
reminds me of Shyama even though they are not similar at all. If one
examines closely Vinita does not over act at all yet her
acting(expressions) are so appropriate & just great.A real lovely song

Amazing song, and very beautiful actress (isnt that Madhu Bala?). I heard a
story about this song, that the lyricist kept on thinking "mera jigar jaane
kahan gaya ji", and the song would just not come out right. Then upon
someone's advice, he changed it to "jaane kahan mera jigar gaya ji", and
