navsikand on August 24, 2010 How unusual to have both lata and asha singing for the same heroine Ameeta
in one song? I never heard of that before i wondered if the song was meant
to be shot on ameeta and sadhana first then they changed their minds?
navsikand on December 03, 2010 @nickkohri thanks, yes i know its normal and common that one singer can
sing for different charachters in one film but i dont think I have EVER
seen two playback singers singing for one actress in the same single song
like here its both asha and lata singing for Ameeta?
Zil Hasnain Kazmi on February 16, 2011 I think this particular song in my view, is the second excellent duet of
Lata Mangeshkar & Asha Bhosley. Naushad Sahib´s composition enhanced it to
an immortal height. The artiste performed through dance their excitement in
such a way that there is no tomorrow. Both of them are trying to convincing
their romance, being accepted in their own way to each others. What a
performance? It is pleasure to watch. When ever I listen to it I have
always enjoyed it. (16th February 2011)
MrAbhimanyu12 on February 17, 2012 Well Naushad sahab was the fan of Lata Ji voice and she used to sing most of his compositions and Naushad used to think that Asha does not have enough quality to match Lata. But as the time went on and Asha showed her talent, Naushad felt may be he was harsh on Asha. And for this particular song Lata was his first choice but Naushad later thought just to test Asha's talent here and he made Lata and Asha sing the very same song.
