A very powerful song from an immortal singer. Her was decision to migrate
was a setback to Indian film music. Lahore,which was badly affected by
Partition, could never attain or maintain its old status in film making.
The result was that Music lovers of the sub-continent were denied the
pleasure of great songs by Noor Jehan , a legend in her life time.

Nice to remember this great Singer on September 21 , her Birthday. She was
a Kasuri as was Bade Ghulam Ali . She got her lessons in Classical Music
from him. Indian Film songs might have been on a much higher plane had she
not migrated. Cheating and exploitation by her spouse disappointed and
dejected her. Sad for her admirers.
