I am going to post this on each and every video from Rockstar. There are so
many comments about how the songs from Rockstar are not 'ROCK' music.. And
then there are these really naive people throwing out all the names of the
Western bands(For instance, Led Zep,The Beatles,Pink Floyd etc.) and
comparing them to Rahman. LOL I read comments like> "All you people who
idolise him are the ones ignorant of the existence of real music"(About
Rahman.)

Yes, what Rahman has done in Rockstar is WAY different from the works of
the Western bands. But it still has all the elements of Rock music(electric
guitar,electric bass guitar,drums) and a number of other instruments in
addition. Even Imtiaz has himself said that he wanted the soundtrack to
have elements of Indian music.

@BlackPearlSparkle there was a cool interview with Rahman I read where he
specifically said that his and Imtiaz Ali's goal with the soundtrack was to
"stick with the principles of rock, but give it a very Indian sound". I'm
glad that Rahman chose to do that instead of doing something
generic-sounding like the soundtrack of Rock On or something

It is painful to see vocal soft ware dependant singer [like Mohit Chauhan]
being promoted over more , better trained , and yes that applies to all
