No, this is not the composition Naushad wanted to exchange for all his
work. That song is "Aap ki nazron ne samjha, pyar ke qabil mujhe" from the
film Anpadh. Sung throughout on a high note, that song is particularly
difficult for any singer because of the enormous breath control it
requires. Try singing that song and tell me if you don't run out of breath
in the middle of a word :) ONLY Lata Mangeshkar could have sung that song.

It moves me when I read such words, which proves that the power of music is
beyond words. So I translated the song for you. And while I was doing that,
I cried as well. Anyway, before I start, would just give some background.
This is a suspense movie where the husband wants to part away with his wife
because he starts believing his wife is actually a ghost (yes!). Wife
quietly agrees to leave the house, but says a few words before that and
then sings the song. (Won't reveal much more on this).
