during that era & is still remembered by her fans. a vast treasure of these

Director Ravinder Dave introduced Asha Bhonsle in filmdom as a singer in
Chunaria 1948, Hans Raj Bahl was the Musician who deserves the credit .But
she sang her first solo song in Jagdesh Sethi;s Raat KI Rani 1949,once
again Music director was Hans Raj Behl,who is a very underrated composer
and he was not given his due share of credit but talents need no official
stamp

Thanks a lot for sharing this very fabulous composition and rendition of
Suraiya Ji. She was the highest paid and top star of this period. She has
been and will remain one of my most favourites forever. In fact, to show
her status, have you heard the funny lovely melody from Moti Mahal (1952):
Kabhi Na Bigde Kisi Ki Motor Raste Mein? There is a line, something like Ho
Jo Suraiya, Ya Madhubala! She has sung with so many great composers and was
always at her very best.

It is not fair. Some have heavenly voice and some cannot open their mouths.
That is why I believe we were not created by Almighty Allah. He would not
have that much favoritism to some. We were made by intelligent beings who,
like us, are not perfect. Why some are hunks and some dwarfs. Some have
heavenly voices and some sing like donkies. Some are like Nanada, Madhubala
and some like ???. Suriayya had this orchestra in her vocals that is just
mesmerizing. Thank you Rehma for giving us these jems
