There are certain good points about Western societies and cultures as there
are about all cultures but Western culture is NOT perfect and India should
stop trying to merge. I mean they went from being a tea drinking nation to
coffee drinking nation. Its sad. I like to think that effort and money
could be better spent on removing poverty which is so rife in India (follow
in China's footsteps).

It is though the lure of freedom of action and speech is probably what
attracts us. Lets not forget they do actually portray themselves in a good
light very very well. They are good at using the media. For example people
in India/asia would like to stay here for a better life when they are
misinformed in just how different the life style is here in the UK. I
preferred looking at India in 1990s early 2000s as inspiration back to my
roots and where I was from.

Agree with the beautiful music and good plots bit for the early 2000s as
well as 1990s. I disagree though about the acting. Aishwarya Rai was awful
and quite simply she should really have stuck to modelling. Her acting is
still terrible. Kajol, Rani and Preity are and were back then very very
good, they generally seemed to put more effort in and it showed. Kaif is
the same as Aishwarya. Totally useless for acting, better off in modelling.
