That doesn't work since he didn't live long past the wedding. Also it ruins
the point of the movie and the bigger message of caring for someone more
then you care for yourself so that they are happy for the rest of their
lives. The sacrifice he makes because of his love for her is truly heroic.
Don't cheapen it.

Naina Catherine Kapur (Preity Zinta) is an angry young girl living in New
York City. Her father committed suicide when she was young, leaving her
mother Jennifer Kapur (Jaya Bachchan) alone with her and her two younger

Jennifer operates is also financially faltering.
