another wondrous composition by hridayanath ji for a meera bhajan sung by
our divine lata ji . its an excellent poem , very true of us mortals .
inspite of reading all the philosophies of life whether dwait , adwait or
others, has anyone been able to understand the mystery of life ? thanks sir

What a beautiful bhajan by Meera Bai on strange ways of fate. An equally
good English translation. I could not find the lyric in two bhajan books I
referred to but found it here. Thanks. A masterly composition by
Hridaynathji in raag Hamsadhvani and divine singing by Lataji. A wonderful
experience. Note the jalatarang interludes.

"Rajaji toh Kauna bichari" as follows: Meera's lord is only Gridhar, the
one without attributes, so in front of Giridhar who is bothered about the
King (Rana)" I am not sure though..

My two cents... The second stanza begins with "और" implying- "Listen
further..." और नदी-पन जल निर्मल कीन्हीं समंदर कर दीन्हीं खारी The last
verse is मीरा के प्रभु गिरिधर नागुन राजाजी तो का न बिचारी Meaning- Krishna
is my only saviour. My own king cares little.
