sad movies don't fail, in that case movies like Devdas, Black etc would have failed too. Bollywood history speaks for itself, emotional movies are always accepted if portrayed in the right way.
this is a copy of a hollywood movie to begin with, no originality or based of Indian culture/events.
at least Dabaang was orginal & had good action sequences, didn't like the movie but, Guzaarish bored me to death, not cause it's "sad" but cause it dragged on itself & over acting.
