My friend I will differ with you, that Lata Ji is of the same class Noor
Jehan . In my humble opinion Lata Ji is a very light singer. In one of her
own interviews she(mentioned) was asked by Nawshad to sing like Noor Jehan.
Lata Ji is a great singer but Noor was a class in itself. Yes Lata Ji have
a bigger audience and sang many many more songs.

ya..i me too is looking for that version.. it ws a concert introduced by
Mr. Bacchan n the Music Arranger duo Kalyanji Anandji worked on that
particular cassette as far i remember..

In fact Noor Jehan was at her best in British India under
the baton of Shyamsundar,K Datta, and Naushad Ali .
During the early years after partition she continued to
follow her original style and sang many memorable songs
under the Music Direction of Firoze Nizami, GA Chishti,
Ghulam Hyder, and Khurshhed Anwar. However sometime
from the mid 50s she completely changed her singing style.
