Superb orchestration by Music Director Mohammed Shafi. I am ardent fan of this very talented composer who has very few films but what he created has left unerased mark on Hindi film sangeet. Look at his songs in film Hulchal, Bazooband, Zindgi, Dara and An Data, u would mesmerize to his composition. Lataji very much respected him. Later Shafi became assistant to Naushad. This beautiful song of Suman Hemadi (then Kalyanpur) is written by Saba Afghani.

My tearful thanks to you for making it possible to hear this song after more than fifty years.Me and my brother many times remembered this song but could never got a chance to hear it on radio or on Y/T.Today you have made it possible.

I always thought this was O.P's composition and was sung by Asha Ji.Thanks for all the information about this song.You are like an encyclopedia of Indian film music.

I think Mangu's music was composed by OP Nayyar. Asha ji famous and beautiful song "Mann Morey Gaa Jhoom ke" is definitely composed by Nayyar ji. May be there were 2 music director for the movie.

There are 3,lyricisrs and 2,Musicians in Mangu 1954,this song was penned by Saba Aafghani and Composed by very fine and underrated composer-Mohammad Shafi
