This is as classic Lata as it can get ... and in fact in her interviews,
Lata Mangeshkar has said its one of her most fav songs.
In 1998 or so, I saw Lata live (thank God for that), and she opened the
show with this song! That tells you!

The best scene in this movie is in the end when Tagore tells her father
that she is going away from him. The Father is very happy that for the

This song was pictured on a Hill station in a early morning Mist.
Hrishikesh Mukerjee the films Director instructed Both the lead actors to
get up at 4 a.m in the Morning and be ready on the location with their make
up on by 6 a.m.. The song was picturised as soon as the morning light shone
through, and the camera would started rolling. One can observe the early
morning mist in some of the frames. If a Hit Song can be made with least
amount of Instruments & Noise , then this song qualifies.. Pure bliss.
