The female singer is Amirbai Karnataki. She has also sung the famous duet
'diya jisne dil... lut gaya woh bechara' with Saigal.

Subcontinent has produced a lot of great singers. K. L. Saigal was unique.
In my opinion never a great singer like K. L. Saigal will ever be born.

There seem to be two female singers in this song, one of whom is Amirbai.
Listen closely and you can hear two voices. It sounds a bit like Naseem
Akhtar, the singer who sings along with Amirbai for Diya Jis Ne Dil as well.
