"Dharmatma" is my second favorite Hema film of all time as she is epitomizes the cutest, most divine, most stylishly dressed,& mystical exotic gypsy of all time. Her beauty as "Reshma" is not only external but internal as well!

This film is a complete 70s extravaganza as it captures the splendour of the "retro" era in all of its various cinematic elements - everything from its edgy & unique musical sounds, to its art direction, to its costumes, to its color coordination! The film is quite "artsy" as is Feroz's directing style! He has depicted "love" in its most unique fashion! Hema has never looked more exotic, stylish, stunningly beautiful, adorable, lovable, & magnificent! Their on screen chemistry is simply SUPERB!

Some trivia ...
Hema's role was originally offered to Mumtaz who refused it for some reason. After the movie was released, Hema's role and beauty was well appreciated. A jealous Mumtaz stated Hema looked like a "Madrasan". Of course, Hema never looked back and still around.
