@MrWiii Being an Indian, for a change, I agree with MrWiii. Melody has been
lost somewhere down the line. I must 80s was a poor decade, with a revival
in 90s. Those were "Bollywood songs", unique, meaningful lyrics, and
melodious.the current songs are like the English songs I hear all the
time in nightclubs in Sydney...same beats, etc just different language.
Bollywood no longer stands out..sad, but bollywood music industry is
dead.

some misinformed people think r d burman was not original , he copied
others. infact , adapting from popular folk tunes and from foreign tunes
occasionally is something almost every music director has done. he remains
one of the most versatile and brilliant composers we've ever heard. his
classical compositions are heard even today. his sheer variety and range is
unbeatable. salutes and hats off to the him.
