Thank Yuan Yin.

One of the finest romantic songs under the baton of Naushad with pretty
good lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni and heart winning dance of Nalini Jaywant
showing typical foot work in rhythm with tune. Thanks Yuan.
nandu1f on February 12, 2011
Wow. What a rare find, Yuan. Nalini Jaywant is superb, as usual. One more
legend down from the Golden Era, since she recently passed away. She is
immortalized in the hearts of many like us. Thanks for the great posting,
Yuan.

compare this song with hemant's "pakar bhi tumhe ham paa naa sake" is it
not surprising that actors like Suresh, Biswajit, Joy Mukarji had many
beautiful songs pictirised on them and remembered only beacuse of that !

Amazing Naushad with a new style and lovely song by Lata Mangeshkar.
Vinod Bhatia on February 16, 2012
ONE THING WHICH EVERYBODY NEEDS TO KNOW IS THAT IT IS ALWAYS THE MUSIC
DIRECTOR WHO IS RESPONSIBLE IN WHATEVER WAY A SINGER SINGS THE SONG.
EVERYBODY SAYS LATA MANGESHKAR SANG THIS SONG BEAUTIFULLY BUT IT WAS
NAUSHAD ALI WHO MADE HER SING THAT WAY..MORE CREDIT GOES TO THE MUSIC
DIRECTOR THAN THE SINGER BESIDES THE TUNE COMPOSED AND THE PERSON SINGING
ON THE SCREEN. IN THIS CASE EQUAL CREDIT GOES TO NALINI JAYWANT WHO INFUSED
LIFE IN THE SONG.LATA MANGESHAKAR ALONE CANNOT GET THE ENTIRE CREDIT.

The best thing about this song is that it reminds us of those days in 1951
onwards if we were present at that time.I never knew then that i am going
to enjoy this song in 2012.Thanks.

one mother fwker dislike this song how come
Viswanathan Nair on January 03, 2013
YOU SAID IT RIGHT. ALL CREDIT FOR A SONG GOES TO THE COMPOSER. BUT PEOPLE
MOST OF THE TIME FORGET IT. WHEN WHEN LATAJI MET AR REHAMAN FOR THE FIRST
TIME,SHE WAS TO RECORD A SONG FOR HIM, SHE WAS MAY BE 70 AND HE 20. STILL
LATAJI BENT DOWN AND TOUCHED HIS FEET. HE WAS STUNNED AND UPSET. LATAJI
TOLD HIM AND PEOPLE AROUND " FOR A SINGER THE COMPOSER IS GURU".
Viswanathan Nair on January 03, 2013
People who like heavenly music like this, better use more cultured
words, gods of music will be angry otherwise.

to like & appreciate quality music is an art !!
Murtuza H on April 07, 2013
Thanks so much Mahagedara2 for uploading this beautiful post. What a
graceful actress Nalini Jaywant had been! The dance performance by her in
this song is simply superb. What controlled steps and expressions. Simply
blissful. It gives immense feeling of pride for being Indian for India's
art, culture, and music, if not for its dirty politics and politicians.

lo pyaar ki ho gayi jeet balam ham tere ho gaye ham tujh se laga kar preet
nayi duniyaan mein kho gaye balam ham tere ho gaye nainon ne tere saajan
man ko lubha ke chhoda dil pe kiya vo jaadu apana bana ke chhoda (mere dil
mein khushi ka rang honthon pe khushi ke geet)/-2 lo pyaar ki ho gayi jeet
... aramaan bhare do dil hain duniyaan pe hai javaani (teri qasam
o saajan rut hai badi suhaani ) /-2 o~ (rahen mil ke sada ham tum yoonhi
jaaye umariya beet)/-2 lo pyaar ki ho gayi jeet ...

Sajjad's 'Le chal wahan piya', an excluded song by Shamshad from Sangdil
(1952) has similarity with this song.
