Suman has sung perfectly. No flaws. Voice is most pleasant as well as
strong. She has a lot more range than she has shown in this tune. The music
directors of her era wrote pretty timid music and did not or could not add
high notes in their composition. Suman has shown her great range in another
song with Rafi. I have always considered Suman as a better singer than
Lata. It is sad that the tone deaf and mediocre music composers of her time

And what if the real problem behind Suman Kalyanpur not singing as many
songs as the two "reigning"sisters was quite simply due to her family
background and situation? Suman came from an educated, middle class family,
married the man she loved and was very devoted to her family. Even Geeta
Dutt admitted that after marriage and kids, her mind was often just not on
her singing but what might be happening at home...!

her voice clarity is not better than Lata's. Pleople who say that Suman is
