In those days every song was recorded twice, once for the movie and once
for the audio tape - Kishoreda's rendition in this version is quite
different (this has lesser Saigal influence) than the audio version, and
even a few of the music pieces here are different!

Why kishore tried to imitate K.L. Saigal? It hears funny. Nevertheless, it is a good song.

Kishore Kumar was a genius. Take it from me a classical vocalist, there can
only be 1 KK If you are going to imitate someone, is there anyone better
than KL Saigal? Do you think it is easy to imitate Saigal? It takes
extraordinary talent and courage to even contemplate such an act. Kishore
NAILS it - better than Mukesh in "Dil Jalta Hai", I think. It is dedication
to the Guru that grants success - Saigal was Kishore Da's manasaguru who
showered him with fame, success, and musical ability.

I never consider kishore as good singer as far as classical music criteria
is concerned.He may be popular but was not good in classical as Rafi
was.But I must say he sung this song very well.

Kishore da never became besura but rafi saab at times sang
besura...specially in low notes..he could not sing low notes
perfectly...Some songs in" Yeh zindagi ke mele" while singing ha ha ha
ha.sur kam lag gaya tha.

Hahaha what a joke. Rafi sahab never went besura. All the MDs and singers
like YESUDAS, Lata, Manna dey, Sonu nigam, SP Balasubraminum have said
this. Rafi was far ahead of kishore in every sense, and yes even yodelling!
