Yidenia on April 07, 2011
Hahaha, I was looking up the movie this song belonged to and it occurred to me that if this movie were made in American Hollywood there would have been more divorcing and out-of-wedlock copulation leading to some cheesy ending XD. I like how different cultures can make movies that have romance and yet spin them completely differently from each other ^_^
edelric444NA on April 07, 2011
shreya ghoshal is the best female playback singer in my opinion. Her voice is godly.

SteelBangle on April 10, 2011
@Gaaras1LUVER9566 She isn't the singer, it's a lipsync as is the case in most Bollywood movies. The original singer is Sherya Ghoshal. :)

JAIME TROS LE FILM ET LES MUSIC
HatsOffToYou23 on April 16, 2011
she's beautiful, and the story line is amazing. indian movies are real love stories.
MrKaju01 on April 18, 2011
@Arkillria this song is a sequence from an Indian movie called"Devdas".Its is a legendary love story of India. This is a poetic comparison of love and a burning flame. She is trying to show that she has kept her love intact from all the hurdles and problems, when her lover was far away in a different land for so many years. The story of the movie shows that she infact had kept a oil lamp lighted all the years when her lover was far away and she never allowed it to be put off a even once in thse yrs
MrKaju01 on April 18, 2011
@Arkillria Further in this song at 2:13 you may also see a kid sitting beside water body having a lamp beside her and wiping her tears. This kid is the herione in her younger days when the boy she liked had gone away for education in a different land far away..she has been keeping this lamp lighted since she was a kid and all these years she has been waiting for her love to return back and never eved had allowed the lamp to go off. This song shows her desperateness to meet her love.

@PersianAfghan well "jay" is a slang term for "joint". A "joint" is a term used to describe ground marijuana that has been wrapped in thin paper to be smoked in the manner of a cigarette. To "roll" is the process of rapping said marijuana in paper to produce a "joint". "Another" means one more of a similar thing (in this case, the previously mentioned joint). You are the unspoken subject in this sentence who is receiving the command.

funny thing is i used to hate Indian music, but i was deployed to Iraq, and every day i heard Arabic music and it grew on me, and now i love the beat and sound

dollputhul on April 22, 2011
so beautifully portrays Paro ..
Rettajean on April 22, 2011
i wish bollywood was more like this instead of trying to be like hollywood. just does not work for them
Rettajean on April 22, 2011
@JoleneRamsahai you can say that again.
freshlime100 on April 23, 2011
Trying to be like hollywood just screws the movie over, in devdas we barely had action scenes and nudish item songs, but see how beutiful the movie turned out,
i miss our old actors and actresses, poor old movies. What will become of Bollywood with trying to copy ideas form america.
