@Arkillria this song is a sequence from an Indian movie called"Devdas".Its is a legendary love story of India.This is a poetic comparison of love and a burning flame.She is trying to show that she has kept her love intact from all the hurdles and problems,when her lover was far away in a different land for so many years.The story of the movie shows that she infact had kept a oil lamp lighted all the years when her lover was far away and she never allowed it to be put off a even once in thse yrs.

@Arkillria Further in this song at 2:13 you may also see a kid sitting beside water body having a lamp beside her and wiping her tears.This kid is the herione in her younger days when the boy she liked had gone away for education in a different land far away..she has been keeping this lamp lighted since she was a kid and all these years she has been waiting for her love to return back and never eved had allowed the lamp to go off.This song shows her desperateness to meet her love.
