It's like what the title of the film suggests: Duplicate.

Basically this Shah Rukh Khan we are seeing is the good duplicate in the film and falls for Juhi, his boss, but Sonali thinks he is the bad duplicate (so obviously the antogonist looks exactly like the protagonist) who thinks he has reformed.

In this song, I think he gets drunk and sees Juhi as Sonali when they are alone and sees Juhi with him AND Sonali. Do you see how one second there is only two of them and then three?

This movie was the very first Shahrukh Khan movie I've seen in history. And
it is my fav ever since. Juhi Chawla and Sonali Bendre are so beautiful and
