One of the finest songs! But one thing Shamshad has sung as "Man ki Bheena
ki dhun" instead of "...Veena ki dhun". The pronunciation error is left as
such which used to be normally very carefully accurate those days...

I think you have not seen this movie. The girl depicted in the song hails
from a village and not a very high class, that's why she is singing in this
manner. It is an error done on purpose.

I think in many parts of our country, words are pronounced differently.
'Veena/Beena', 'Sari/Sadee', 'Yamuna/Jamuna'. 'Vasant/Basant' are some of
the few words that came to my mind.

Lovely song. But as someone pointed out, there is a minor inaccuracy in
pronunciation of the word "Veena/Beena" as "Bheena". Perhaps the song
sounds even better this way.

I gather this song was on KK"s own list of ten songs that he cherished most
in his repertoire. Doesn't surprise me. In songs like this one he showed
