last song in the career of talat mehmud & only one 4 laxmi-pyare. talat
sang xclent songs in 50s 4 devanand, rajkapur, shammi kapur, dalip
kumar,sunil dutt & many others. during 60s trend changed & talats graph
declined & many heros refused his play back not liking the wavering voice.
his career was eclipsed y mohd rafi & also mahinder kapur 2 some xtent. the
irony is that a gr8 legend who sang 4 anil biswas s j o p n m mohan salil
chodhry s d burman c ramchandra sajad naushad was forgotten.

Mohd.Rafi in the 70's till his demise. Kishore Kumar who only sang either
for himself or in compositions of S.D.Burman throughout 50's and 60's and
remained in the shadows of Rafi,Mukesh etc. was catapulted to limelight in
the 70's and reigned till his demise.Nontheless each one is great in his
own right.

kishor getting major amplitude the music directors did revered rafi who
even then sang 4 the top heroes during this phase. career of talat abruptly
declined 2 standstill with no work. may b his vocal chords getting fatiqued
du 2 ageing loosing that punch. but his songs of 50s r marvellous
vindicating his legacy. i have good collection of talat & oftenly listen
when i m far from the madening crowd. my salutes 2 talat sahib.

Talatsaab had a very unique, vibrant and fragile voice which was second to none in the entire world. It needed proper care. Talatsaab made a wrong turn. He started acting where at times, he had to yell and scream. Hence, his vocal cords were damaged. Bombay studios dust also contributed deterioration to his voice.

of Sudesh Bhosle !
