Hello Yuan Ji,
It's so heart warming to go to your channel and listen to the old memorable songs of my era. Kind Regards.

Another brilliant comment by THAT Professor V.C.MAGO.
one of his "unique" styles.
This time, "touching" another human weakness.
A weakness, reluctant to discuss by many.
You are a Gem of a person, my dear Professor.
I honour and respect you.
May God bless you.

Thumbs up. Thanks for the golden song of yesteryear's and making me peep into youthful years of my life, carefree, frivolous and very very romantic.

. The universality of women's lower status and maltreatment that you note is very true , Qasim Bhai,as patriarchal ideologies have ruled all over the world for ages, the ethnic or local differences being relative not absolute. In Indian and Asian history the remote past was more favorable to women. Thus the Vedic , pre-Manu Smriti era in Indian civilization had a more egalitarian view of gender relations. The southern parts of India have done better to preserve those values.

Thanks for a very knowledgeable and informative note triggering from Ravi's classic composition for the film Ghoonghat. Vipan Bhai, you must be remembering there was another excellent song from this film, " Laagey na mora jia" and a running composition " Do nain miley". I never took Ravi as a composer, seriously (Lol), till I heard such songs; two of his classic duets are "Ye jhoomte nazaare" and "Yeh hawa yeh nadi ka kinaara"
Thanks yuan for uploading and providing this diversion.

- OMG, What to say?
I was fascinated reading a "conversation" on one of the most important "issues" [faced by the whole world] by two of the most learned and respected personalities I have ever "met" in my life, TWO PROFESSORS!

It is like sitting in a Uni lecture hall and listening to a "conference"!

In addition to enjoying music, THESE are the "bonuses" what we get from You Tube. Education and knowledge!
Hope other friends will also contribute.
May God bless both of you.

Hello Yuan. TY. Ghunghat was a Gemini Films production. Movie based on social issues caused due to ignorance(continious) in the Sub-Continent culture. All actors did a great job especially, Rahman. Normally he was...so...so...couldn't hold on to a dialogue or a heroine in his arms LOL. However, this particular song I think is of Hemant Kumars style. Ravi was Hemantda's assistant for quite some years before going solo.

- OMG, someone has posted that song and yes, there is a similarity!
By the way, Good morning. It is morning here in Sri Lanka!

Last night someone said;
"such a melodious song! Does anybody know why Ravi and Lata drifted away in spite of such compositions?", after watching my video "Lata - Woh Dil Kahaan Se Laoon - Bharosa [1963]"

I said "only person who can answer to this question is my friend, RealMusicKing"!
Thank you.

Ghnghat 1960.is the remake of Milan 1946(Dilip Kumar Mira Misra) the is the film in which Beena Roy bagged Film Fare award as a best actress against Madhubala -Mughale Azam 1960,this is one of the worst examples of favoritism, nepotism and discrimination manifested by Film Fare godfather, every one knows that there is no comparableness between Madhubala and Beena Roy ,but talents need no official stamp and truth speaks itself.

Bina roy was one of the brilliant star of her time who changed the course of acting in Bollywood for good. She was beautiful ,versatile and and accomplished actress dedicated to give the finest films which are still fresh in mind. She lives on although she is no more in this planet, but her place is reserved in all the hearts who have seen her pictures.
