Comments on song "Mubaarakabaad Dene Ko, Khushiyon Ke Chaand Muskuraye Re"
chamogaa on March 27, 2010 S-J and Lata putting us in their thrall. This song and Muhabbat Ki Daastaan from Mayurpankh are two among many songs that I must listen to every week. Without them-- one joyful ,the other melancholy-- I feel the week incomplete. Thanks for the forward,kalakar67.
Suhanee2 on March 27, 2010 This is a beautiful song, haven't heard this for the longest time and now the video, made my weekend. Precious Gem, thanks for uplaoding this number. Regards, Suhanee.
dilij1 on March 28, 2010 beautiful song thanks Kalakar, was this the first color film, other than Technicolor, of Hindi movies?
I think the first Technicolor movie was Mehboob Khan's 'Aan' also in 1953.
kqs92 on April 14, 2010 Thanks so much, dear friend for this a lovely surprise, one of my absolutely favourites! Shankar Jaikishan, an absolutely fav. music director of mine. Who can resist moving, dancing to this lovely, playful melody!?
kalakar67 on April 19, 2010 @dilij1 I think it was V. Shantaram who produced the first colour movie in late 40's. I have read it some where. But don't remember the details.
dilij1 on April 20, 2010 @kalakar67, thanks for the info about first color film.
nandu1f on July 16, 2010 Shankar Jaikishan's masterpiece. S-J blended mandolin with Indian melodic lilt and employed folk drums like dholak into the filmi mainstream so wonderfully. Amazing creative period in music making. That is why we hanker after the "old songs". Thanks Kalakar ji for your special selections.
56riazali on November 28, 2010 I am not concerned whether it is colour or black and white but think that it is a piece of worth praise. The music is also superb and rendition is also matchless.
rumahale on August 11, 2012 Movie: Mayur Pankh (1954) Cast: Kishore Sahu, Sumitra Devi. Lyrics: Hasrat
Jaipuri Music: Shankar Jaikishan Singer: Lata Mangeshkar I have definitely
heard this song previously and liked it too; beautiful one by Lata
Mangeshkar - thanks to Shankar Jaikishan evident. Thank you for excellent
video presentation.
Dr.G.Rama Narayana on September 23, 2012 It was from Kishore Sahu's "MayurPankh"! With such faster numbers SJ changed the image of Lataji! Two decades ago, HMV released a cassette of this film's audio along with KaliGhata which was also by SJ! It is amazing to note that this was a colour film( GevaColor?)!
