I wonder if all of the Bollywood come together to come up with a song of this quality.. the wordings, the voice of Rafi Saab, the music.. I bet they can't. It is so comercialized today that the life of talent is disappeared. If I read how these great talents like Rafi, Dharmendra, Naushad, Dilip kumar reached the film industry makes me feel that they put their life in it, thats why we always like it.

Lata and Rafi have sung a GREAT masterpiece. Rafi is as usual perfect. Lata
has sung better than usual. Unfortunately, there are no high notes to make
this tune even better. At least Rafi should have been asked to take his
voice up up and away at the end of the song. Lata never took her voice
above the medium high range as she could not but Rafi could have.

This is not only a song. It represents the expression of a couple in love. At the time it was made it represented the feelings of all of us who fell in love with someone but was unable to meet and express. There was no mobile phones etc. Just the song was enough. That's why it means so much to me and people of that generation.

I love this Hindi song, I just discovered it on YouTube few days ago. I
listen to it over and over, It makes me wants to travel to the time space
of this movie although I don't know why. Hindi language sounds so beautiful
to me, although I don't understand a word of it, I wish I could speak it. I
am an ethnic Malay from Malaysia. Great voice from Mohd Rafi. I am a great
fan of Shammi Kapoor, Mala Siha, Asha Parekh, etc. I love old Hindi songs
and movies...not the new modern ones..

If we didnt copy their music and sticked to our classical routes USA today would have been trying to copy our way of music. Oh god could this Era ever come back? Its highly unlikely because to get shammi kapoor you need Mohd rafi to get mohd rafi you need Shankar Jaikishan and panchamda which i think is highly unlikely

shammi was a great entertainer but he over did it with his diet@legacy he aged so much during 67,to 77,he would of been with us still another 20years but i guess the kapoor buzz got the best of him,meaning they were very popular family name in the industry etc,but the kapoors do have thier heads in thier asses even though thier new genaration are a bunch of twats,but much cred goes to the greats of thier time not the twats of the last 20years
