Lata Mangeshkar was the perfect voice for this song. And yes, Salil Choudhary was truly an underrated and composer. Hats off to Basuda for giving us movies that make you think, laugh, cry and see life with all its flourishes, and faults with such simplicity. If Salilda was underrated, then Basuda could be called understated for his uniquely subtle artistic bent.

I love this song, can relate to it very much. Infact theres a situation in
my life when I really thought " Na jaane Kyun hota hai yun Zindagi ke Sath,
achanak yeh mann kisike jaane ke baad, kare fir uski yaad, chhoti chhoti si
baat ". Tears really didnt stop rollin frm my eyes dat day. Salil Coudhury

@snehse Its the footage of erstwhile Bombay. We would always see similar
scenes in Documentaries on Television showing BEST buses and trains packed
with office goers... and the famous traffic signal pedestrian crossing of
VT. I refuse to call Bombay under its new christened name of Mumbai. Bombay
it was and Bombay it is. It basically take out the whole essence of Bombay
and its numerous memorable era's while referring it to as the new name.

and BasuDa's films have a similar feel because they believed in the so
called " Middle Cinema" , basically what this means is that their cinema is
a combination of the serious " Art" style and the commercial " masala"

as 'Middle films' and this is also the reason why such films are more
