" Bthaukamma " is name of the Village god / Graama Devatha, popular in Hyderabad area . In all villages people( Ladies ) celabrate this festival with pooja offerings placed in a Pot / Ghata and bearing on head and present to the Devatha after dancing and singing ( as shown in this song ) Bathukamma songs . May be Shankar who is from Hyderabad is responsible for using this word ( Like Ramayya vasthavayyaa-Sri 420 )--Arani Apparao-Hyderabad -A.P.
