Back in those days IR was newly introduced with Stereo DTS type music. Yet,
playback and recording instruments were ordinary which means mixup of
sounds and one instrument dominating the other. So, obviously a musician
should be good enough too keep it well and reduce noise. IR definitely
surpasses Rahman here, but Rahman never got to face this. By the time he
had his first recording, he already had digitals with him. That's why we
still hear Roja songs with so clarity,yet other film songs contd

composed at same time aren't that good. Composers were amused and came to
look at ARR's studio, including IR to awe at his usage of technology. This
is why ARR is successful. He was offered a great support by Manirathnam,
vairamuthu, gulzar etc. because good songs need good lyrics. He mixed up
his talent with technology and the result we saw. Who can forget
Alaipayuthe songs (Sakhi in telugu). For the best use of his technology,
see If I rise song from 127 hours. Both IR and ARR are great.

How can you compare Lord Ram with Lord Krishna.You just can't. Because both
are of different times and different laws. Ram regarded killing was very
much sin. But, Krishna regarded killing was the only way to destroy sin:)
What can you Say? They are like Ram and Krishna, although no one can be
GOD. And please stop comparing with foreign musicians.They are poor
fellows.They would know what is real music if they ever got to play with
seven notes called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni or if they were indians

Well...I didn't say those seven were the only musical notes... Did I? I
said, if the westners would get to know, then they would find it... A
challenge for you.Show me one western song where you could represent a
vocal song purely and purely in terms of notes, not with instrument
support... You could never... I bet you could never find a song where you
could represent your voice in notes..I'd be glad to hear such song...you
need words for a song, we don't need...those seven letters are enough

I told, I pity them because they don't have access to Indian music in an
Indian way..If you foreigners ever had access, they that would have been
excellent, perhaps creating wonders...But, you are unlucky..Like i said,
you can never represent your voice in notes... that access is for Indians..
and If i am right, its exclusive to Indians.. Poor India.. Don't make a
good use of such wealth..

Melody of a tune does not lies in the complexity of the song... in fact the
lullaby your mom used to sing for you that would bring peace to your mind
and make you sleep will surely not be complicated but it will convey her
emotions. In fact the melody and the essence of the song is how well the
emotion or the feeling is conveyed to the listener. I don't know Tamil but
its melody just makes me feel of the childish love i had for my first
crush. ARR you are amazing! best unplugged ever!
