I think it's high time groom's family start sharing for half the wedding
expense. Needless to say, girls should say a STRICT NO to families that ask
dowry. In India parents spend more for their child's wedding at one go than
for their entire education. Even girls should understand responsibility and
support her family emotionally & financially, even after her marriage. It
would go a long way in eliminating the thought that many people have that
